Matt Donato Bloody Disgusting There’s no escaping the abysmal trademarks of The Asylum’s buffoonery on a budget method, which will still probably please its intended audience Rated: 1.5/5 Aug 12, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

BRizz 2 Shark Side of the Moon is, without a doubt, one of the most atrocious, mind-boggling disasters I’ve ever subjected myself to watching. Honestly, the first question I had after finishing it was: Why did anyone spend money to make this? The second was: Who in their right mind agreed to star in this trainwreck? The film’s premise is already absurd—a crew sent to take down shark-like creatures on the moon—but even that could’ve been fun if done with a bit of charm or creativity. Instead, what we get are laughably bad alien-like “shark men” that don’t even remotely resemble sharks. It’s as if the production team said, “We can’t afford sharks, so let’s just make some rubbery alien costumes and hope nobody notices.” The characters are just as ridiculous. There’s a woman with gills, space suits that look like Halloween costumes, and—just when you think it can’t get any weirder—a Viking-like guy in space. Nothing about these transitions or plot points feels coherent. It’s like someone threw random ideas into a blender and hit “puree,” then called it a script. And let’s talk about the CGI, which is easily some of the worst I’ve ever seen. The infamous moon chase scene between a shark and an astronaut looks like two cheap action figures being waved around by a bored kid, not anything cinematic or remotely thrilling. It’s painfully clear this film had neither the budget nor the vision to pull off its wild concept. Overall, this is not just a bad movie—it’s a cinematic disaster. If you enjoy so-bad-it’s-good films, you might find something to laugh at here, but for most viewers, this is nothing but a painful, cheesy mess that should’ve never left the cutting room floor. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/27/25 Full Review Ilan S There was potential. But they ruined it with the story line, acting, cgi, all horribly laughable. I mean the idea was good but everything was done terribly. When they were on the moon you could see how bad the cgi was, I mean it was so clear that it was like they used a green screen and that's it. Same with the sharks with the prisoner scene and everything else. DO NOT WATCH YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/21/25 Full Review Ronnie L One of the best films I have ever watched, people say fight club or the god father films are the best but if you ask me, shark side of the moon masterpiece of cinema Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/08/25 Full Review Tom T It’s Tremors on the Moon, maybe? Ok, maybe not. Clearly a Si-Fi original in the making tho. Who the hell knew algae grown in the absence of light is the most powerful thing know to man/shark-kind. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/19/24 Full Review Olivia M Have you ever wanted to rip every single hair out of your head? well look no further!! this movie is the perfect watch. theyve got it all from baddie shark hybrids witch absolue racks to devistating death scenes (rip papa). sure to leave you on the edge of your seats. will not disappoint!!! #needasequalrightnow Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/06/24 Full Review Audience Member Let me just start with WOW! Perhaps my new favourite movie. The cinematography, script, and editing were OUT OF THIS WORLD! Literally! They were on the moon hahahahhah 😆! Shark Side of the Moon is the type of movie that NEEDS a prequel and 3 sequels. The prequel must explain WHY they made the sharks and the events that lead to them escaping. The sequels have to go indepth to the uprising of sharks. This movie was the perfect allegory for why human kind shouldn't experiment with mutations such as shark human hybrids who can speak Russian and can't die who were made for war. *spoilers from this point* The beginning contains cinematography that is just beautiful, some of the best I've ever seen. And this just continues throughout. The subtle foreshadowing towards the sharks being on the moon and speaking Russian was just incredible and really took some thought to get. The story with Sergei and Akula was heartwrenching. Their father-daughter bond was something I can only dream of. It made me wish I was half shark half human </3. There were absolutely zero questions I had that weren't awnsered. How did Henri survive the explosion + walking across the moon with no helmet? How did the sharks learn to speak English? Why does algae make them breathe on the moon? Why can sharks breathe on the moon? Why did they launch the sharks onto the moon instead of just in space to have them die? Why was there enough gravity on the moon so that they could fall from a space ship? HOW DID THEY SURVIVE GETTING BLOWN OFF THE MOON INSIDE A GIANT WHALE SHARK THING? WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE MOON BLOWS UP???? Well you've got to watch to find out! Furthermore the sharks were very attractive 😍 The leader shark had the body I wish I had. Long, slender fingers. Hunched over neck. Just stunning. To conclude my review, this was the best thing I'd ever watched, I laughed when I was supposed to, cried at the deaths, really felt connected with the humans, and felt sympathy for the sharks. I really hope this becomes a series. <3 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/06/24 Full Review Read all reviews
