Audience Member Awful , absolutely awful film. As a huge shark movie fan who will literally watch anything with the word shark in the title this was so disappointing. Do not recommend Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review don s You only need to hear two words to know how awful this movie is: Stephen Baldwin. When his father dies from a "propeller" accident, Baldwin must go to Venice in order to finish his father's lifelong project - finding the lost treasure of the Medici family. The gangster who financed the father's mission reminds me of Dr. Evil. He brilliantly added baby sharks to the waters in Venice so they would prevent others from trying to seek the treasure when they reached adulthood. Guess he didn't figure on their being predators and attacking his own search parties also. Complete trash. Versión completa en: Vaderexpress.blogspot.com Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Sharks in Venice is actually 3 movies in one: one part shark movie, one part venetian holiday romance, one part mafia/spy movie. And somehow, Alec Baldwin's Alt-Right little brother is the star, with Scarlett Johansson's sister opposite; neither of them could act their way out of a paper bag. It was clearly not shot in Venice, clearly shot with shark week stock footage and laughable CGI. In fact, if I recall correctly, the shark is withheld for all but 3 scenes in the movie, though not in the suspenseful Spielberg way. One of the worst/best shark movies out there. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member One annoying thing with a lot of these TV shark movies is that they're usually not about sharks, the sharks just interrupt whatever cheap story is going on. This is no exception. A poor action drama about finding treasure and fighting the mob, who happened to let loose a few sharks. Find a cheap location to film, add in some stock-footage and bad CGI, and you have a quick cash grab. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Although the title implies you're in store for some campy, stupid fun, Shark in Venice makes the big mistake in taking itself so seriously it makes an Ingmar Bergman film look like the Marx Brothers. Sure, it would've been nice to see a few more sharks in a film that has them mentioned in the title, but if it's any consolation, director Danny Lerner instead offers you a low-budget take on Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade that's on par with an elementary school recess reenactment. If that doesn't float your boat, you can at least get a kick out of Baldwin #4's utter bewilderment as he contemplates just what the hell happened to his career since The Usual Suspects.
