Justin Chang Variety Singlemindedly devoted to crushing the "Jaws"-fed perception of sharks as vicious man-eaters, "Sharks 3D" delivers a refreshingly benign and at times visually overwhelming take on a much-feared subject. Jul 6, 2010 Full Review Jeff Strickler Minneapolis Star Tribune Some of the photography is quite impressive. And the movie certainly doesn't have the 'fearsome denizen of the deep' tone usually found in movies about sharks. Rated: 3/4 Aug 17, 2006 Full Review Nancy Churnin Dallas Morning News In this dazzling follow-up to Ocean Wonderland 3D, director Jean-Jacques Mantello gets you so close to these creatures you'll feel like fending them off with your hands. Rated: A- Jan 19, 2006 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures a slower-paced and less horrifying look at these creatures Rated: 3/5 Sep 4, 2013 Full Review Brian Orndorf BrianOrndorf.com It's a spark of passion in an otherwise distracted feature -- an entertaining, enlightening picture, but not quite the sharkapalooza promised. Audience Member Videography was alright. I was expecting more information on the sharks about their behaviors and hunting methods but was severely let down. It seemed like a guilt trip about how they are endangered but it didn't explain why or how to make a difference. Why anyone would pay to see this when theirs WAY better shows on the discovery channel is beyond me. I was NOT impressed. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Watched this with the family very cool and full of fun facts! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Not the best, not the worst. Middle of the road and a bit cutesy. It made me miss diving sooooo much... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a very child-friendly 45 minute 3-D movie on sharks and other sea life that is playing at Omni Theatre at New England Aquarium. I would recommend seeing this if you are on the waterfront with your kids. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Well...I really wish they had shown more...violence. I mean, the music was incredible, I'll give it that, but the sharks weren't doing anything except swimming around. IMO, if you're going to do a movie in 3D, make it exciting & intense to watch. And the only sharks they showed were ones that "were not harmful to humans" or mothers-to-be. They filmed dolphins & sea lions too, & talked about them at the most random times. To sum it all up, I felt it was way too kid friendly. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
