A A small budget, huge impression! iconic show! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/29/22 Full Review Audience Member Sean Bean glistens... Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Sharpe's Gold is a weird one, there is no regular antagonist such as Ducos, Hakeswill or even Simmerson in it, and it actually didn't use the book as an adaption apart from the first few pages...it was mostly an original piece, which leaves it a fine film, like all the others, but it doesn't feel the same when watching it. It spends most of the film dealing with suppoed Aztec ancestors, which includes several scenes where you see the Aztecs prepare to cut out someone's heart. Whilst I have no problem with the violence, it is very un-Sharpe like. Whilst I enjoyed the film, it was a bit...bleurgh. The bad guy, the leader of the Aztec rivals, was, to be honest, a bit cartoonish, at one point meowing at a woman (?), but I had little sympathy for Wellington's sister and niece, they brought it on themselves, so I had no emotional sadness in the film....though the niece did bring up a good moment where Sharpe makes mention of Teresa, who was a great female character, and also good to see continuity. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Strange subplot involving deluded Spaniards and Aztecs. Didn't really care for the 'romance' subplot either, it was not believable at all. Really enjoyed the shooting contest between Elly and Richard. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Stjernefilmar med Sharpe, er heilt hekta :-) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member sharpe is the best love all of sharpes stuff Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
