Katie Rife RogerEbert.com With “She Is Conann,” the writer-director reinforces this fantastical architecture with a clear, propulsive story arc, and the result is his best work to date. Rated: 3/4 Feb 2, 2024 Full Review Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle She Is Conann is a politically charged, blood-, sex-, and tears-soaked sword, carving through the helpless arteries to the heart of cinematic mediocrity, and it is Mandico’s strongest vision yet. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 1, 2024 Full Review Beatrice Loayza New York Times It’s more of a fever dream than an actual story, offering a queer counternarrative to the macho vision of the legendary warrior that is as hypnotic as it is gnarly. Feb 1, 2024 Full Review Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness Devoid of the mostly harmless entertainment that are the Schwarzenegger tales, Mandico’s "She Is Conann "will prompt you to reconsider the ways in which you embrace violence, asking you to sit with the discomfort you find in the process. Rated: 3.5/5 May 6, 2024 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed ... a film that is mesmerizing, beautiful, and makes one wonder about many things in life. Rated: 5/5 Apr 30, 2024 Full Review Joey Keogh Vague Visages For longtime fans who are comfortably perched on his peculiar wavelength, this will be another challenging, disgusting and fascinating flight of fancy... Everybody else will find an enervating exercise in empty provocation that outstays its welcome. Feb 26, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Jason T If you enjoyed any of the Conan flicks this far other than the original, this movie is not going to work for you. The first flick 1982 is good, but this film is on another level. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review Aldis H Another French piece of garbage, all cheesy style and no substance, that is monumentally pseudo-symbolic and -serious, but every line is as cliché and/or unimaginative as you can possibly get. The writing is amateurish in the extreme. I could only get about halfway through. This is complete ess H eye tee. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/14/24 Full Review Baxley A What a turkey! A long form fashion movie that's all allegory with a thin and vacant plot. It takes itself incredibly serious and I couldn't roll my eyes further back into my skull if I tried. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/04/24 Full Review John Clark Genuinely have never seen anything like this before. Dazzling, disgusting, oh so badass. The psychedelics of the world will worship this film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Donnie K It's.......a lot. I enjoyed what it was going for but certainly fits into the art installation > narrative section of movies.
