Siddhant Adlakha Variety Despite the flaws in its construction, the film proves riveting in isolated moments, enough to make it an intriguing watch, even though two women’s final steps toward much-needed catharsis unfold mostly off-screen. Mar 19, 2024 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com “She Looks Like Me” ultimately would have worked at half its length, a version that homes in a little tighter on its messages instead of cutting back and forth between them. Mar 16, 2024 Full Review David Ehrlich indieWire Despite Jones’ praise-worthy refusal to reduce this incredible story to its most digestible emotions, his film lacks the same inner strength that it reveals so beautifully in its subjects. Rated: C+ Mar 14, 2024 Full Review Emma Vine Loud and Clear Reviews She Looks Like Me is an inspiring true story and a testament to an individual’s hopefulness, determination, and the unspoken bonds between siblings. Rated: 5/5 Aug 15, 2024 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots An unpleasantly crowded documentary that’s weighed down by too much story. Plus, you'll have the big twist figured out early on. Mar 22, 2024 Full Review Elena Lazic Cineuropa Director Torquil Jones has a light touch over material that could have been framed in a much more explosive and sensationalistic manner.
