s. m Seeing this on the late, late show some weekend or sick day evening when I was maybe 12 (1972). I took the film pretty much at face value. It was so startling to see something you’ve been feeling but just trying to piece things together (and still trying). It took my breath away! This was the main reason, though: Dominita! Only seeing this film once I always remembered Dominita. She was one of my early idols>. About a year later I saw “The Queen” (1968) and was mad about Harlow. I’m telling ya: the ‘70s!
