Audience Member Good cheesy fun very underrated Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting concept that doesn't quite fulfill its potential. In a not to distant future religion and religious sects have run riot and now run the world, chief among them is Miles, Piper, a self proclaimed prophet and second coming. Miles hires Howell, a Shepherd or more accurately an assassin, to kill another religious leader thus clearing the way to his complete dominance of the world. Howell as most film assassins are want to do has a change of heart and instead goes on the run with his target and her young son, what follows is largely unclear and underwritten and nicked wholesale from Highlander 2, never a good place to start, as people suddenly start mumbling about the world having healed itself 'up there'. The conclusion isn't very clear but Piper is crucified having been betrayed Judas style by his second in command, Howell and his target escapes and are last seen leaving a cave and viewing the sunlight for the first time in years. Apart from an OTT performance from Piper and some heavy handed religious symbolism there is very little to recommend this film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
