Eddie Harrison film-authority.com ...a more-than-decent oddity, with big-stars, a universally known IP, and a quaint if unspectacular treatment from tv specialist Sagal. It’s a little dry and dusty in places, but the star-power carries it through, and makes it something of a hidden gem... Aaron C Here is a chance to watch Roger Moore, John Huston and Charlotte Rampling just hamming it up and having fun. Nobody is taking themselves seriously here, just sit back and enjoy. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review Audience Member Roger Moore and Patrick McNee play Holmes/Watson in this very delightful adaptation that finds Holmes on the other side of pond to rescue Irene Adler's (Charlotte Rampling) son. All the players are here in this adaptation. John Huston plays a quite spooky Moriarty and Moore does a dashing job as Sherlock. It is fun to note that Moore/McNee would reteam for thirteen years later in Moore's last outing as James Bond in "A View to a Kill". It is interesting to see that their dynamic in that film kind of started in this one. They have so much fun together. 4 out of 5 So Says the Soothsayer Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
