Phil Hall Examiner.com A fun entry in the Basil Rathbone-Nigel Bruce series. Nor do they ask much of the viewer, but they can be undemandingly entertaining period bric. Apr 6, 2006 Full Review Michael W. jason c I must admit to my bias, even though I have watched just about everything Holmes out there, I love Basil Rathbone. I know this series is not canon, but I just marvel at his portrayal. Add the fact that I spent 6 years in Europe and travelled the train system extensively, and there you have have it. My unbiased opinion would be 3 star for this movie out of Rathbone/Bruce movies. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/20/24 Full Review nick s A fun ride with two colourful protagonists. The only negatives were the convoluted setup and plot conveniences. They made the story feel very improbable. Still, if you're a Rathbone and Bruce fan like me you'll enjoy it. A tense film with a perfect runtime, well written script and a contain setting that works really well. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/08/23 Full Review Liam D Even though it's the Shortest Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movie it's still really fun Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/22 Full Review robert p I love everything that Nigel Bruce and Basil Rathbone did. Now they have cleaned up old prints and colorized them to enjoy! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
