By the time you make it to the end of Shimmer Lake and have unraveled the mystery, the film has finally hit its stride, so much that you'll want to start it up again to watch with the foreknowledge of what everybody's up to.

Consistent in what it does and good up to a point, that point being when you have to say: ‘Son, if you don’t start making some sense we’re going to have to tie you up and lock you in the trunk.’ Hated the ending.

Thoroughly entertaining as a crime is unveiled in reverse time order. Wry sense of humor and satisfying reveal at the end. Definintely worth the time.

I watch a lot of crime mysteries, and this was something different than the usual fare. Characters somewhat cliche, but the backward plot made it worthwhile, and it was entertaining and enjoyable. You do need to pay attention!
