This trait, of the unfolding of the traps that weave a bigger trap each time is actually the aspect that sets the film apart, as it provides a very interest background to the action, although the concept is a bit far-fetched at times

All Shock Wave really has going for it is scope and spectacle, which you can get in any big dumb American blockbuster, and Lau's upright handsomeness and bravado, which you can also get in much better films.

Minha opinião: Um filme que começa com Landy esta infiltrado em uma organização terrorista. Que quer fazer um roubo a banco e usar carros com bombas C4. Para salvar seus amigos ele expõem sua identidade e acaba prendendo o irmão do chefão. Passado um ano o chefão organiza uma vingança e soltar seu irmão da prisão. Nisso ele arma um terrorismo em um dos tuneis que liga Hong Kong a China. Matando varias pessoas e tendo também reféns. Muitos tiros, cenas fortes. No final ele tem a missão de desarmar a bomba pois este é sua profissão e salvar todos. Será que ele conseguirá? O bonito de ver filmes chineses ou americanos é o seu patriotismo com a sua nação a sua bandeira. Infeslismente algo que não vemos ainda em nosso país. Sempre ressaltando traficantes ou comédias. O filme usa de muito porrada de carros, sem economizar e bastante efeitos especiais ao estilo chinês. Exagerados e que beira mentira. Vale apena assistir Roteiro: bom mas sangrento Vale apena assisitir? Sim Nota: 7

Co-written and directed by Herman Yau starring Andy Lau who works as an "Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau" or EOD is working undercover and as a result of his actions saved some lives, unknowingly would eventually hunt him years later once coming across some of the same people he confronted years earlier. And they do this by taking hold of a tunnel lead by Peng Hong (Wu Jiang) rigging the entire tunnel with explosives with one of the demands was face the undercover officer who double crossed him.

Great action sequences done on a grand scale, good build up of tension through the hero and the antagonist, and solid acting that maintains an air of believability. The love story was unnecessary and seemed like a strained inclusion, as if the filmmakers felt they needed to because it was part of the formula. An entertaining take on the mad bomber motif.
