Nancy Banks-Smith Guardian The whole thing moved in leaps like a dream. Full of extraordinary images, sustained silences and tightening terror. Feb 25, 2020 Full Review John Leonard New York Magazine/Vulture Stick with the slow-starting Shooting the Past...Not as profound as it thinks it is, but ingratiating and even suspenseful. Audience Member Nobody makes TV lie Poliakof, almost perfect. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member "Shooting the Past is extrodinary and unique." An absolutely beautifully put together series, Timothy Spall stirs the pot with Chaos and mystery. The creeping climatic ending is unpredictable, unsuspectingly and utterly heartbreaking. The Photographs alone are worth the investment, their history surrounding them mesmerise your curiosity. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting. The photos in this are extraordinary. The movie itself was a little slow, and rather anticlimatic. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member An absolutely beautifully put together series, Not to everyone's taste as it's a little slow going but i think it needs to be to draw you in the way it does. Definitely a must for those fascinated by old photographs Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Top notch, 5 star, absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!
