Audience Member Very rare! Never released on video or DVD. 1972 ABC TV movie of the week classic. Never released in theaters as advertised below. Highly recommend for cult status alone. Have one of the few prints left! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Early made-for-TV entry in the huge 70's disaster-film genre, pre-dating "The Poseidon Adventure" by almost two months; a moving and gritty account of a small group of subway passengers' struggle to survive after being buried in a New York subway car after an earthquake. Starring a good cast of mostly television personnel, & featuring tight scripting, intelligent, realistic acting, & involving, authentic characters, the film also addresses a lot of very relevant socio-economic issues of the time in a direct and perceptive fashion. James Brolin is quite good as a cynical cop, and the unusual casting of Jazz-chanteuse Abbey Lincoln as one of the heartier of the survivors pays off as she delivers a particularly memorable performance. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member one of the best tv movies I have ever seen. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member When I saw this on TV I loved it. It was tense and dramatic and there were quite a few interesting sub-plots that made it very enjoyable. I want this on DVD! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
