Audience Member not as riotously funny as other feng xiaogang-ge you collaboration like Mei Wan Mei Liao or Bu Jian Bu San but still an entertaining watch. Cell Phone touches on how technology can be a bane to our lives instead of bringing convenience. it's just a joy watching ge you! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Hm. 40 minutes into this film, I begin to realize why hit comedies from one culture rarely translate well into another. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member A great movie about some of the problems facing couples in modern China, and how technology might not be actually bringing us closer but further apart. In this film we see how a device like a cell phone can be a haven of secrets and cause people to lie to each other eventually ruining marriages. Underscoring issues facing intimacy problems between couples in modern China, this contains some great cultural references and some funny scenes. Worth watching for all fans of modern Chinese cinema.
