Former soldier Mike McComb (Errol Flynn) cleans up a gambling town and takes the gambling equipment to start his own enterprise out West. On a riverboat trip, Mike prevents Banjo Sweeny (Barton Mac Lane) from stealing the equipment and alienates singer Georgia Moore (Ann Sheridan) and her husband, Stanley, all of whom are headed to Silver City, Nev. There, Sweeny and Georgia blackball Mike, who hires lawyer Plato Beck (Thomas Mitchell) and battles to establish himself as a gambler and banker.

See more 07/26/2014 Dull western about Errol Flynn as a silver miner who build up a large mining operation only to be challenged by a cartel of other miners. You'd expect better from director Raoul Walsh and a game supporting cast that includes Ann Sheridan, but it's all a pretty uninspiring story. But being an Alcoholic and Opium Addict he died at the age of 50. His autopsy said he had the body of a 75 year old. A testimony to hard living. This film was late in his career and he was no longer the swashbuckler. In some scenes he looked unsteady as if he was trying to hold himself up.
