Jose Solís Common Sense Media Films dealing with current political crises are always in peril of becoming overly biased or didactic. What Simón director Diego Vicentini beautifully achieves is focusing on the story of one individual. Jul 17, 2024 Full Review Victor Pineyro Seventh Art Studio The most powerful thing about this film is its collectiveness. Simon's life is that of millions of Venezuelans right now, making its impactful story, soul and sentiment, inseparable from reality, and incredibly brave. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 28, 2024 Full Review Federico Furzan Movie-Blogger.com A great reflection of the trauma Venezuelans have gone through for decades, seen from the eyes of a young man who dared to do what others condemn. Rated: 4/5 Mar 22, 2024 Full Review Ruben Peralta Rigaud Cocalecas Símon, Diego Vicentini's debut film, captures the struggle of a dissident asylum seeker. Drawing heavily on the concept of survivor's guilt, Símon delivers a powerful experience.
