Sing Street, while not telling a tale that could be labeled as anything close to original, still crackles with an innovative vitality all its own, making its climactic leaps into the starry-eyed unknown all the more wonderful because of this.

“Drive It Like You Stole It” should win the Oscar for Best Original song. It’s such a catchy tune that also plays well into the film thematically. Not to mention, the scene it is used in is arguably the best individual scene of 2016.

Watched this right after coming back from a trip to Dublin — perfect timing. Sing Street is an excellent coming-of-age story about the importance of perseverance and chasing your dreams. The soundtrack is absolutely incredible.

One of the best feel good movies out there. Have watched it so many times. As a child of the 80s it truly resonated. The story is amazing, the songs are amazing, the cast is amazing (and very talented, some of them have never acted before!), a must see! You won’t be disappointed!
