This film resonated in the depths of my soul in a way I have not experienced in the last twenty-five years. It is not just the best film of 2025, it is in my top three of all time. There is a primal energy to it that is almost palpably magickal. In the desert island scenario where you can only choose one movie bring with you, this would be my pick.

Beautiful score and soundtrack over a chilling, thrilling, night of killing at a 1932 juke joint in Mississippi. Michael B Jordan plays two twins leading an extremely talented cast including Delroy Lindo and Wunmi Mosaku. A must watch for lovers of black music history and supernatural creatures.

This was one of the best movies I'd ever watched. The film was excellent, as was the acting. I also believe that the film came at the appropriate time. This is one of those movies that you can watch again and again and still enjoy. Overall, movies like this one make going to the movies more enjoyable and exciting. The buildup was excellent, and they delivered a perfect 10/10 and 5/5 stars.
