A rip-roaring fusion of masterful visual storytelling and toe-tapping music, writer-director Ryan Coogler's first original blockbuster reveals the full scope of his singular imagination.

Audience Says

Ryan Coogler has not only delivered a deliciously vicious vampire hit, but an unapologetically Black genre knockout ablaze with a killer cast and a cranked-up score.

Coogler constantly dazzles us with a soaring visual display that takes its time developing long, inspired takes, elevating the legacy of traditional blues, and isn't afraid of moments of frank sexuality. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Sinners is a redemption movie, a revenge movie with elements of Blaxploitation, and certainly a red-blood-soaked horror movie; it’s also deeply romantic and has the rhythms and audaciousness of some of our boldest musicals. Go to Full Review

Matt 2h the 70mm / IMAX rerelease was excellent. the music was amazing, acting was great and it was a thriller, I was on the edge of my seat for the 2nd half. See more Jennifer 1d Ryan Coogler is a genius. The soundtrack and score is amazing. Every actor on screen shines. I love the layers and history. Beautiful shots and scenes, fantastic directing. I watched it twice in theaters, once was IMAX. See more LS 2d Definitely recommend seeing any movie in 70MM See more Tyrek 3d I've seen the movie in multiple formats but nothing compares to the film in the 70mm IMAX the way that Ryan Coogler intended it. More details can be seen in the large format. Background details that I didn't notice before. Even sound is more immersive so that some scenes that it makes you feel like you are in the room with the characters. Of course the movie is an example of masterful story telling even without the visual enhancement. See more Patricia G 3d This movie was amazing. Thank you to Ryan Coogler for reissuing in 70mm IMAX for moviegoers late to the party like me! See more Christopher H 4d BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR See more Read all reviews
