Kate Rodger Newshub (NZ) Sequels are such a hard beast to tame...they all still made me pleased to see them anyway. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 26, 2019 Full Review Don Groves sbs.com.au Shallow Kiwi comedy focuses on four lads who can't grow up. Rated: 2.5/5 Feb 29, 2012 Full Review Andrew L. Urban Urban Cinefile There is a simplicity to the film that is endearing and the expat community of New Zealanders and Polynesians will embrace it wholeheartedly, laughing approvingly of its cultural accuracy, even if it pokes gentle fun at them Feb 25, 2012 Full Review Steve Newall Flicks (AU, NZ, UK) This sequel underachieves when you look at what the contributors should collectively be capable of. simon d The NZ/Samoan version of the hangover. The humour is very basic and quite sexist, not really a good advert for Samoans to be honest. I guess the original was so popular that this was justified down under. Both are pretty crap if you ask me. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Would be hard to make a crappier movie if you tried Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I expected a lot from this because the first was great and this definitely wasn't, so it was a disappointment. The plot was distasteful and the acting made me wince in embarrassment. There were a couple to a few funny scenes that made me laugh which saved it, only by a little. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member It's been 6 years and the boys still didn't grow up. This time it's not a wedding but a funeral, such a big change. The storyline is campy fun, but a bit over the top, unlike the first film. Shortland Street overload was not fun at all, the bad acting from the supporting actors were unbearable. The use of slow motion was pointless, the interesting camera angle from the first film was not used. Overall, quite a disappointment, not as funny as the first one. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member A sequel as good as the first movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
