Haricharan Pudipeddi Hindustan Times Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur's film is a tale of love that also takes a mature and sensitive take on the conflict between India and Pakistan. Nov 2, 2023 Full Review Neeshita Nyayapati The Times of India With Sita Ramam, Hanu manages to deliver a story that’s moving and a film that’s visually aesthetic and pleasing. Go watch this one if you’re looking for a breather among all the mass masala. Audience Member Sita Ramam, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is a visually stunning period romance that intertwines love with the historical backdrop of Indo-Pak tensions. The film follows Ram (Dulquer Salmaan), an Indian Army officer, and Sita (Mrunal Thakur), whose love story unfolds through letters over two decades, culminating in a quest led by Afreen (Rashmika Mandanna) to deliver an unposted letter. My Experience: Watching Sita Ramam was an emotional journey. The cinematography and music were breathtaking, creating a captivating atmosphere that drew me in. Dulquer Salmaan’s performance was particularly charming, and his chemistry with Mrunal Thakur felt genuine. However, the film’s pacing was uneven, and at 163 minutes, it felt stretched, with some subplots distracting from the central romance. While the film attempted to address themes of love transcending borders and religion, I found some elements a bit heavy-handed. Despite its flaws, Sita Ramam left a lasting impression on me due to its heartfelt moments and the poignant portrayal of love amidst conflict. Overall, it’s a film that resonates with both beauty and complexity. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/08/24 Full Review Sidhartha E Well made!
