Audience Member SCOTT BORDER, YEAH YEAH! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review matthew b The darkest role Dom Deluise ever played. Just the back story of his Armpit child was disturbing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member could this get any lamer Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This film is about a kid named Zack (Trevor Lissauer, who played a Valet in La La Land), who recently moved from somewhere USA so his Dad (Timothy Busfield of The West Wing) can become a TV station producer. Zack runs into trouble with the local skate punks, which causes him to befriend Jenny (Shanelle Workman, Dr. Iallis of Mass Effect) and her mother Maggie (Bess Armstrong, also in Jaws 3-D). Hijinks ensue when Zack rebuilds his recently broken skateboard (thanks street tough skate punks), but when he falls asleep after working on it, a lightning bolt hits it, and it suddenly becomes sentient and voiced by Dom Deluise, going by "Rip." Oh, let's run down a quick checklist of just SOME of the tropes in this direct-to-video film. -Skate punks messing with local food employees? Check -Aforementioned skate punks messing with local, bumbling, overweight law enforcement? Check -Multiple sick slow-motion ollies for extended periods of time? Check -Throwing skateboards at other skateboards in slo mo because you can? Check -Single dad that's kinda goofy, trying his best? Check -Scummy used car salesman that turns out to be the dad of the local skate punk's head bully? Check "Don't worry about that sound, it's just the engine." -How about the skateboard has an animatronic face, and the ability to give high-fives? Check Suspenseful wedding scene hijinks? Oh, you'd better believe. There's even a music video for the exclusive soundtrack that rolls during the credits by a band called The Trash Kittens. They apparantly did all the music for the film, and did absolutely nothing after this film. I'll be damned if I didn't try to search to be proven otherwise. Seriously, this has every 90s kids film trope that you would imagine is there, and they even threw some in for funsies. The amount of over the top action shots, and absolute absurdity that runs amock in this film are what put it in that "It's so bad, but enjoyable" category. It's a truly awful film, with it earning most of its points for creativity, and good enough performances from the cast. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This would likely make Tony Hawk cringe. Lame story about a kid who moves to a new town and after having trouble making friends assembles a magic skateboard that flies and talks (voice by Dom Delouise) and embarks on a successful treasure hunt. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Jag antar att man måste ha starka nostalgiska band till den här rullen för att gilla den, det har inte jag.
