First-time writer/director Seth Worley studiously keeps matters on the safe side of frightening, thanks to superb, studio-grade animation and themes about odd-kid syndrome and parental loss, which he deftly renders with humour and humanity. A real gem.

Definitely great for kids to young teenagers. I would have loved this movie if it was released in the early 2000’s. Maybe not the best for teens to adults but I would still say it’s worth a watch for how original and well done the movie it.
