Ben Chow S "Work smart and not hard" that's these scammers' slogan. They lure you with promises of luxury and lifetime riches without you doing anything besides investing in their investment schemes, and if you ever fall prey, they will siphon you of every penny dry. I know how they operate because I am a victim that is why I am writing this review. I know many like me are about to or have fallen into this sad ordeal, I pray you come across this post. I was a victim, and I lost all my life savings to this fraud act. For one, who would just pickup a gun that someone slides to you. You know is trying to catch you and then you try and use it. I gave this movie 3. Stars because of the actors and it t had some good action scenes; not the script. It is a poorly written script. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Skin Trade is a competently shot, well-edited, well-choreographed and moderately entertaining bit of action fluff. It features asskicking good-guys and morally reprehensible bad-guys, and the good-guys eventually win after some trials and tribulations. If there were any real complaints it would be that there's too much time dedicated to a big hero-vs-hero conflict (and internal betrayals), and an over-simplification of the moral principles at play. Primarily, it's about heroes on a mission to take down a mob-boss who is rich due to human sex-trafficking, and at first the movie takes this quite seriously, with one surprisingly effective moment where a "shipment" of women arrives only to find out none survived the trip, and the villain sees this, above all else, as a business embarrassment and financial loss. However soon, the movie just takes that and makes it a label, so to speak, to thrust on the bad-guys to ensure the audiences know who is evil (think "He's a Drug Dealer" was for the 1980's), and that is the one tragic thing; it starts off deeper then it gets after that, just using a real-world tragedy to allow the movie to operate on a very straightforward Good vs Evil binary, but overall it is effective at accomplishing its goals regardless. The action is certainly good, if not quite top-tier Jaa or White, and there's just enough to the plot to allow it to function. My wife and I purchased this for cheap and we have no regrets - Know what you're getting into (an above-average Direct-To-Video movie) and you'll enjoy it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Omg whateves this movie RULES!! Flashback to the action flicks I used to love in the 80's!! Take it from a chick who loves movies for guys who like movies ?????? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice to see an oldschool fighting movie again.. And the underline story is also a thing to think abaout.. what a sick world we actually live in.. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This had a bit of potential, but it just ended up being awful. I like a lot of the cast, but the story and direction just didn't deliver. Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com If you like your martial arts films to be action-packed, but also unironically simplistic, and thoughtlessly violent, then you will really enjoy Skin Trade. Rated: 3/4 May 11, 2015 Full Review Nick Schager Variety Dolph Lundgren and Tony Jaa star in this tedious, formulaic actioner. May 9, 2015 Full Review Martin Tsai Los Angeles Times If bare-knuckle fights are what you seek, director Ekachai Uekrongtham certainly delivers. May 7, 2015 Full Review Evan Saathoff Birth.Movies.Death. Not all DTV-type action movies are good. Some are truly awful. Skin Trade is one of the good ones but not in an overly showy or obvious way. It's just solid and fun from beginning to end. Jan 5, 2022 Full Review Ed Travis Cinapse If you don't go into it hoping for a revolutionary film, you will find a bunch of fun fights between some of your favorite action icons Mar 1, 2019 Full Review Richard James Havis South China Morning Post It's nostalgic fun to watch genuine martial arts experts fighting each other on the screen.
