...brave pilot T Vijaya (real name AB Devayya) played by debutant Veer Pahariya, who should rightfully have led this tale, consistently plays second fiddle to the film’s lead, which is, of course, Akshay Kumar.

Sky Force has noble intentions to celebrate Indian Air Force heroes of the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. However, this action flick (based on real events) is too routine and too bloated for a story that deserves a better movie.

Vijayan’s story carries the heft to whip up nationalist sentiments. We want to know more about him but he is reduced to a supporting act, as the film panders to Akshay’s screen image of a patriot that has become painfully predictable these days.

Sky Force is patchy, the acting is adequate - Akshay Kumar is obviously the fulcrum around which the rest of the cast revolves - and the quality of the storytelling inconsistent.

Unfortunately, what should have been jettisoned, like fuel during an emergency, is what constitutes the bulk of the plot. By flying into different directions at the same time, Sky Force does itself a disservice.

let's see how many more IN vs PK movie comes this year. one good thing about this film though, it highlighted the lives of some great individuals in our history. It made me aware of these extraordinary real people. I can't wait do my own research about them. B Praak was great as always and Lata Mangeshkar, the two people who carried the emotions of the film, which was lacking in the screenplay and direction.

Well acted. Cinematography and action scenes were good. Script was somewhat sloppy and lazy. As the daughter of an IAF fighter pilot who fought in that war, he gave it 3 out of 5.

Fantastic editing, no drag in the movie. Things move at fast face. 2) Superb story and Fantastic Subject. Squadron Leader T.K.'Tabby' Vijaya deserved his story to be made into a movie. Salute to the hero. 3) Good Direction. 4) Nice war visuals. 5) No nonsense, no stupid dialogues. 6) War movie that is made well, attention to detail is there.
