The directors, producers, cast and crew have clearly put their heart and soul not only into the memorable and endearing characters, but into the story and into fandom culture itself. The acting is great, the music is top notch, the premise is original and captivating, and the film celebrates its audience rather than talking down to it. Skye Hoshi: Anime Girl has all the ingredients to build a passionate fanbase. You owe it to yourself to check out this fun, emotional, funny, exciting example of a movie that's a welcoming love letter to its audience. It truly is a feel-good movie about a guy, Atom, who works in a comic book shop and is disappointed with his life. He wishes that his favorite anime character, SKYE HOSHI, were real and POOF- she literally falls out of the anime world and into the life of Atom. When Skye realizes that she has left the anime, possibly for good, Atom and Skye do whatever they can to try to get her back to where she came from. A feel-good movie for adults and kids alike, you don't want to miss SKYE HOSHI: ANIME GIRL. The actors are cast well, which is impressive for a smaller platform. Hunter Kohl is an excellent actor and Pure Magic Pictures is lucky to have him in their film. Looking forward to more films that star Hunter Kohl or Olivia Roloan.
