Poul N Having read Kurt Vonnegut's novel and felt tears for the world running down my spine, I liked this take on his ongoing horror of life in United Bluff. Vonnegut's exiting the slaughterhouse in flattened Dresden in 1945 after the bombing and the firestorm and then getting paid a dollar for each corpse he dug out from the ruins came to mind and then this very young director, and Kahn, Feldman... bum, bum. This looked so bad it had to be funny, and it's not. After watching "The King of Comedy" i'd expected more from Jerry Lewis's mature work and i could not have been more disappointed.
