Dave S Just when you're admiring a really nice set or something along those lines and start thinking ‘hey, this might actually be decent,' something so incredibly stupid happens that you crash back to Earth and realize that Prehistoric Women is a piece of crap. The plot? In the jungles of Africa, a hunter is captured by a tribe of scantily-clad, English speaking, non-African, crazy good-looking women. And that's about it. None of it makes a whole lot of sense, but what's really annoying are the choreographed dance numbers, four of five in total…and it isn't a musical. Really, other than the scantily-clad, English speaking, non-African, crazy good-looking women, there's not much to see here. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/03/24 Full Review Audience Member Man mysteriously goes back in time to save a bunch of slave girls, seems reasonable to me. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member This is what happens when Hammer have a load of costumes and sets left over from 1 million years BC and decide to reuse any way they can. A kind of jungle adventure, filmed on locaton in a studio in Elstree, which turns into a time travel prehistoric adventure. Very little is explained as our hero finds himself captured by a tribe of 'prehistoric women' led by Martine Beswick. Tribe is divided in two brunette's in charge and blonde slaves, and the men are locked in a cave for some reason. Plot seems to revolve around a white rhino, some prophecy and freeing the blonde girls. Luckily all the slaves and captors speak perfect English, and have very 60's hair styles. Despite being pretty awful in the main, the conviction in which it is done, and dance routines, yes dance routines does kinda endear you to this a little. One of Hammer's weakest output but the sheer awfulness is kinda entertaining for some reason. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
