Audience Member the worst film i have ever seen, badly made and a terrible storyline, the whole film is green screened and it is really obvious Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member For a first attempt at making a film, with no money (6,000 pounds I read) , family and friends as the actors (except for Warwick Davis in a supporting role) and no script--they shot it on the fly,---- this film rocks! Its ridiculously funny, actually scary in parts, unique bad guys and as long as you understand that its all very tongue in cheek, you will enjoy the ride. For those of you who aren't familiar with British slang, "fag" means cigarette, not a homosexual slur--you won't get one of the early jokes if you don't know this! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Admirable simply for getting made and I was never exactly bored... but needed more Warwick! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Although I admire its original approach and the unique nature of the film, it still isn't a good movie. Crudely made, unpleasant and it has no feeling. The low budget doesn't help either. Cold and uninvolving. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Another brilliant example of what can be done with little or no money when a filmmaker and crew has talent, imagination, and a sense of humor. Shot on video with frequent use of blue-screens to create an odd but effective tone, a fresh British take on the Chainsaw Massacre genre. Even the soundtrack has some damn good songs, (sung by the cast!), and the young male lead looks like a future star. Read as little as you can about this one, and watch the film unfold. Frankly, a better effort than Shaun of the Dead, on a fraction of the budget. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of the most underrated movies in recent years. The story is about a number of 'normal' people who stray into the village of Grockleton. Well, that is not quite true it mainly features one house. The locals are I am sure a spoof of yokels or country folk. These locals all appear deformed or mentally retarded and have a penchant to kill strangers in gruesome ways. The stars are a young cyclist and a couple in a car. The plot is based on the probability in the audiences mind if these three will survive the Grockletonian blood lust. This is well worth the price of a DVD or a rental. It will blow away a few cobwebs you may have as to what a film should be. Enjoy (5 stars from me for a budget movie) Website: http://www.smalltownfolk.co.uk/ Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eoloJu5ANM Lots more on YouTube.com Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
