Andrew Pollard Starburst As far as entertaining long-time horror fans goes, Smothered is most certainly the little movie that can. Rated: 7/10 May 10, 2018 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com I'm all for a murderess who kills through cleavage, but the feature is much more interesting as a study of fringe celebrity. Rated: C Mar 31, 2016 Full Review Michael A. Smith MediaMikes The second feature film written and directed by actor John Schneider, "Smothered" is a tongue in cheek look at the world of fan-driven conventions conceived by a man who has been there and done that. Audience Member It's Not your average horror movie but stars a line up of horror icons including Kane Hodder. Very enjoyable "love story" to horror fans where the icons are the hunted instead of the hunter. A must see horror comedy Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member After a group of real-life horror film actors receive few fan inquires at a horror convention, they reluctantly take a job to give some folks a fun scare one night a camper park. The seemingly easy work turns terrifying as they realize they are being picked-off one-by-one. The film overall is a bit of a mess in terms of script and dialog, plus the very low budget didn't add much. Cool seeing all these guys in one film together and there are some definite funny moments which make this a worthwhile view for any cult horror fan.
