Audience Member One of the better martial movies of this genre, similar story to most but this one is better acted and at times quite funny and the choreography of the fight scenes are well executed. It may suffer from the typical 70s Chinese Kung Fu silliness, and the story may not be completely solid, but its forgivable. Rated 4.5/5 Stars •  Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member In my opinion, Snake in the Monkey's Shadow is better than Jackie Chan's Snake in an Eagle's Shadow. This was a really good movie and starts out with a great fight scene, which is unusual for kung fu movies. Usually they get exciting towards the end with the ending fight scene. I recommend you go watch this. Rated 5/5 Stars •  Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member W/ what started as a rather lackluster kung fu flix ended up sustaining my interest about a 3rd of the way through. A nice variiety of styles on display including snake, monkey, tiger claw & drunken boxing. Nothing really original as a kung fu student ends up getting into a fight, his teacher killed & he seeks revenge. None of the fights stand out but they are entertaining. It's not like there are any masters of material arts involved.
