Natalia Winkelman New York Times If this spin on the tale is not quite diverting enough to justify its existence, the movie, directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, is at least not a soulless exercise. May 12, 2022 Full Review Amy Amatangelo Paste Magazine As a tween musical full of catchy songs, the shoe fits. Rated: 7.6/10 May 9, 2022 Full Review Courtney Howard Variety Heartening sentiments about the passionate pull of artistic expression and the ingenious meta context of the narrative’s underpinnings help buff away the scuff marks, making for a surprisingly satisfying reboot of a tired but timeless classic. May 9, 2022 Full Review Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com Sneakerella is a family film that a wide age spectrum can enjoy. It’s a bit different from your traditional retelling movies and does well with the themes that it presents. Rated: 3/5 Aug 19, 2024 Full Review Rachel Wagner Rachel's Reviews (YouTube) This has some fun dance sequences but it dragged on for far too long with some annoying characters Dec 31, 2022 Full Review Tatat Bunnag Bangkok Post Sneakerella is an average family film that won't blow anyone's mind. There are a number of cheesy scenarios and humour that should appeal to kids. However, it is still an interesting attempt to see how the movie modernises an old fairy tale. Trent B I didn’t know that paraplegic people could dance so well but this movie opened my third eye and now I yell at every paraplegic person I see for not dancing in the streets and i have cured exactly 237 people of being paraplegic now please everyone do more of this amazing movie and helped me make the world a better place. Ps we need to make better shoes for the paraplegic also Gustavo is the man. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review Justice A This show taught me a lot of the racial undertones of the Canadian life. It was full of talented actors that rival Morgan freeman, Samual l Jackson, and Idris Elba. The main highlight of the movie was when paraplegic Jerry started floating. I would recommend this show to those of all ages and disabilities including zipperheads. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review Neal B Sneakerella is an eye-opening masterpiece that truly captures the heart and soul of Chicago. The cerebral palsy guy was awesome. I would like his blood for my experiments. Please someone get me in contact with him or I will do something drastic Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review Cade J I watched this movie with my paraplegic child and there was a man at the beginning of the film with the same disability! OMG WE STAN REPRESENTATION! But then he disappeared… we thought he had died. Then he came back at the end of the movie! I believe the fairy godfather brought him back to life but that is magic and magic is evil so my children will not be allowed to watch this. Honestly the worst part about this movie is that they are subjecting children to witchcraft and also I’m not sure why every actor looked like a person who was dipped in mocha. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review Audience Member This movie is Beautiful. My family and I really enjoyed it. The songs, visuals and actors were all great. I also think they did a great job putting a twist on the Cinderella story. I highly recommend for everyone. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review Chris M I know this is a twist on the shoe part of the Cinderella. But it really doesn't work. The whole world is nothing but shoes. That's all anyone talks about or is the priority. Maybe I'm not the audience for the movie. But my priorities for shoes if A, they fit and B, if it gets me where I need to go. All this is obsession with something that wears out is stupid. Plus, El? That's all? That's not even a name, it's two letter. If it was Al and was short for something I can see it. But it's never brought up what El was short for. Other than one of the THREE writers thinking that the E L from Cinderella was clever. Head's up, it's not. And the stepfather was wrong for holding it down but for most of the movie it's plays out like he's evil for wanting his stepson to have more realistic goals. The music is more annoying than catchy and only about shoes. I have seen better modern twists on Cinderella. If you wanna a good modern version of Cinderella, try "Cinderfella". Leave this shoe obsessed movie alone. A rare miss from Disney. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
