Nick Rogers Midwest Film Journal Not entirely sure how you can introduce a Winter Soldier-coded, Yakuza-trained female assassin named Lady Death and then give her maybe five minutes of cool things to do. Frankly, Tom Berenger's performance as an estranged sad dad is the highlight here. Rated: 2.5/5 Feb 10, 2024 Full Review Alistair Lawrence Common Sense Media Somehow this is the eighth installment in the Sniper movie series, a franchise that hasn't troubled movie theaters with its releases since the 1993 original. Joerg H Sniper: Assassin's End – A Cinematic Disaster.... Assassin's End is like enduring a slow, painful cinematic lobotomy. The plot is so uninspired and nonsensical that it feels like it was cobbled together by brain-dead interns on a caffeine crash. The acting? A masterclass in wooden performances and awkward line delivery that makes even the most generic B-movies look like Oscar contenders. From start to finish, the film manages to insult the viewer’s intelligence with every predictable twist, lifeless action scene, and cringeworthy dialogue. It’s the kind of movie that actively angers you while watching – a rare feat of filmmaking incompetence. If you find any joy in this mess, you might as well sign up for a lifetime of peeling potatoes, because critical thinking clearly isn't your strong suit. Avoid at all costs. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/13/25 Full Review D H Movies don't come much worse than this... the plot, dialogue, sequences, acting... industrial-strength BS. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review Dave V Really good movie. Good suspense and action. Very enjoyable. A typical sniper movie. I enjoyed it. People are trying to put too much thought into it. Definitely worth a watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/24 Full Review Duncan J Absolutely mediocre. Shame that a fine actor like Tom Berenger would stoop to this level of blandness, but I guess everyone has to make a buck somehow. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/05/24 Full Review Karen H Plot was interesting and it tied the series together well. Great action sequences without being boring or overdone. Highly recommend watching it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/31/23 Full Review Donald O Great action and nice plot twist Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews
