Not many critic reviews, but I agree with audience average of 5 out of 10. It does try too hard but has familiar faces which do a decent job of playing their parts. A weak script only can take you so far. I wouldn't say it is awful, but wouldn't watch it again. Very relatable at times, especially as a parent (Lice scene). Talks about pubes without getting too carried away (main character is a groin waxer). And doesn't focus on the nudity/sex scenes that unnecessarily slow movies down. Does use a tired cliche of a "Republican" character that finds politics more entertaining than sex. (HA) My liberal friends always seem much more interested in politics than my conservative ones. If you're a fan of any of the main characters, you will probably like it ok.
