Audience Member goat of movies 11/10. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A leaping film with admirable and entertaining religious and cultural satire. The characters are emphasized and so is their acting, for better or for worse. The film is entertaining for the most part, though treads on sporadic and uncontrolled editing and often-times jumps into humor to save itself. Also a very sexually-driven film which plays into its commentary and satire, the film should still grasp some audience attention even if it targets specific viewers. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member thoroughly enjoyable, with quite a good looking cast too. Im an Avi Nesher fan! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A warm and wonderful human story set against the backdrop of a small town in Israel's Negev desert in the late 1960s -- part coming-of-age film, part social commentary. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member A GEM OF A MOVIE! Late 1960s Israel: Immigrant families, Moroccan & Indian Jews living in an isolated village in Israel must learn to co-exist as neighbors. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved it! The whole story is more than interesting, and the characters are perfect. The whole idea of cultural differences being erased by the pure need to find optimism and life in the middle of the dessert. The humor is fantastic, and some characters (like her fat sister and that girl which burned a camel with a cigarette) have blown me away... All in all a very fun movie to watch....
