Fred N I remember seeing this movie as a kid once, after years later I was still searching for this movie name. Found it and going to watch it again after just watching it over a long time. It's really good! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/24/24 Full Review Andy N It's Good. 8/10. In the mould of apocalyptic movies but in space. Universal soldier meets alien! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/03/23 Full Review Chris This is one of my favourite movies. I've watched it many times. There's not enough action to be an action film and not enough character building to be a worthy drama. It's not hard to understand why it's not liked. The best part of the movie is Kurt Russell discovering emotion. Set expectations to zero and watch it whilst nothing else is on You might be surprised. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/12/23 Full Review Steve D Everything comes off kind of lifeless, even Russel who never seems lifeless besides in this. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/21/23 Full Review Mark C When you have nothing to do and all night to do it this is time well spent. Kurt's character is struggling with the same feelings we all do regarding his purpose and his place. Most of the dialogue gets in the way but lines like "I'm going to kill them all sir" become memorable in this less is more action blow it up genre film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/22/23 Full Review Marcos N Just finish watching after a long time not seeing this film. Still cool. Its funny how this action flick its simple yet speaks loud when you think about the values that it shows from the community that took in Kurt Russel's character. Despite just a few lines in all the movie you can get a sense of what Todd is thinking or feeling, he and the other soldiers like him. Its nothing "academy award nominee" but I like how a film can deliver its script just by showing you instead of explaning every sigle thing like you're a 5 year old or something. For those that like a action flick that it isn't a non stop CGI festival all the time, you can appreciate this one. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Niall Browne Movies in Focus Soldier finally deserves a reappraisal. The Kurt Russell starrer is actually a hugely entertaining and visually arresting piece of science fiction cinema – at the centre of it is a bold performance from Russell – one in which he only speaks 104 words. Rated: 4/5 Jun 25, 2023 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …while humour is sorely lacking in Soldier, the brutalist sci-fi tone holds throughout, and it’s easy to get behind Todd’s stubborn unwillingness to be thrown out with the trash… Rated: 3/5 Jan 8, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
