isla s I found this a quite amusing and entertaining 1970s British comedy. Its a bit cheesy/cliched I suppose and features some out of date stereotypes, such as the playboy type, played by Leslie Philips. I also recognised Frank Thornton (who played Captain Peacock in TV series 'Are You Being Served?') and Arthur Lowe (who played Captain Mainwaring in TV series 'Dads Army'). A random observation I made was that at the start of the film, it reminded me a bit of a key scene in the film 'Back to the Future', as is featured on the film poster it appears. The comedy is pretty slapstick in style, visual comedy - nothing entirely outstanding I suppose but it certainly got me laughing. Its silly, a little zany - perhaps 'madcap' is the more appropriate term to use?. I suppose its about the lengths people will go in the search of greed but it didn't feel entirely preachy, in a way as to make it not funny, obviously. I found it amusing that words such as 'rotter' were used - a term thats rarely used these days in my experience.
