Several implausible plot points were difficult to overlook, and the transition from a romance to a courtroom drama felt jarring. Furthermore, Jack Sommerby's sacrifice at the end of the movie didn't have the intended profound impact because it didn't feel like his only choice. There are some interesting ideas, such as how much of our identity is based on who other people think or say we are and whether your good name is worth your life.
