kevin w Playing on the box office popularity of the star team-up of Tony Curtis and Piper Laurie (after the slight if surprising No Room For The Groom), both playing the plastic charm that the times demanded, this over-the-top Arabian send-up plays more as cute than the Robin Hood it pretends to emulate. Costume-y? You bet. Loads of pseudo-Arabian references? Yep. But only a dopey romance with dopey complications? Unfortunately, yes. Still though, a definitive relic of the dying studio system with lots of bright, bright colors. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member "Yonda lies da valley of da sin and beyond, da kassle of my fodda," declared Tony Curtis, and immediately made film history; campy Arabian Nights tale.
