steven j this is a great movie with great songs and singing! awesome cinematography! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review per h About the most terrible waste ever of the grandest film format of all. More than two hours of beautiful pictures, great sound, poor story, bad acting - and a director, who've only got that position, because he was the producer, too. If S.o.N. was offered again in 70mm, I would see it again, in spite of all the above mentionned. -I might even run it again som few days to verify my words to an audience. Worst of all: The marketing people, selling this less than mediocre stuff, as "the film taking over, where Sound of Music ended". My lone star is for the use of 70mm. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review michael s My personal pick as the worst movie ever made. Absolutely nothing works in this hackneyed movie "musical" making it sometimes hilarious in its lameness but never to a point of being really entertaining. Some movies should be put down as a public service. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member First of all I would like to contradict one film critic who said "Florence Henderson" was not a noticeable movie star. Florence didn't have to be a big movie star. She made a few good movies but she was most popular on Television. Too many to mention here...albeit, Florence had a lovely singing voice and prominently showcased her talent in the 1970 movie, "Song of Norway". I enjoyed the movie quite a lot in spite of critics and audience reviews. The music of Edvard Greig was beautiful..the scenery was captivating and the songs were lilting.
