Audience Member Clunky romantic drama. I watched the mistranslated version. Made it worse. If, however, from international movie's point of view; it's still not good enough. The problem of japanese movies, especially for love/drama type, are always too slow, too uncertain (in terms of storyline), and the worse is: they want you to "feel" the movie and the actors. Japanese loves to "feel" things and not to provide answer or solution. If you want to understand Japanese, you gotta use up all your feelings in order to find out everything about them. Their moives just like their culture... always need to "feel" and "think" about it. If you have the time and the patience, it's a good choice for you. Kind of a mish-mash of other romantic tear-jerkers like Be With You, Hidden Forest and Virgin Snow. All the pieces are there but then again, I've seen them all before so this is pretty predictable fluff. There are also a lot of redundancies with characters and scenes that really don't need to be there other than to stretch the movie length. It didn't know when to end!
