Audience Member Sons is interesting on one level, but much like it's runaways, it's wandering and lost with no real focus or goals. It just sort of comes and goes and leaves you wondering how groups like FLDS remain in existence in our modern world. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member In the absence of a clear narrative, it's not much of a movie; but, even as an episodic glimpse into its subject, it's a convincing condemnation of a true American horror story. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the less interesting things I've watched about the Warren Jeffs clan. It left me feeling frustrated, and not much else. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Would be interesting to know the kids or hang out with them soon after they've adopted a typical all-American family lifestyle. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member A fascinating look into the polygamist cult in The Crick (Colorado City, AZ) and their brainwashing practices. Like most documentaries, it made me appreciate the life I have. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A group of teens who escape a fundamentalist Mormon community and how they struggle to integrate into their new world, while trying to help family members left behind. Wesley Morris Boston Globe Very little of it adds up to a movie. Rated: 2/4 May 26, 2011 Full Review Joe Williams St. Louis Post-Dispatch "Sons of Perdition" is a captivating testament, but the silence of the daughters is the real revelation. Rated: 3/4 May 20, 2011 Full Review Bill Goodykoontz Arizona Republic What's here is compelling, if occasionally hard to follow. Rated: 3/5 Mar 2, 2011 Full Review Gerald Peary Boston Phoenix Their valiant attempt to find themselves is stirring, and sometimes depressing, as they backslide into alcohol and drugs. Rated: 3.5/4 May 26, 2011 Full Review Sarah Boslaugh Playback:stl The FLDS exiles featured in Sons of Perdition fare better than you might expect and a "where are they now" coda provides more encouraging news.
