      Critics Consensus

Soul Survivors' stock characters and utter lack of suspense gives viewers little reason to attempt deciphering the confusing plot.

Blu B Man it's just bad all around. The editing and pacing are horrifcally bad. Not much happens before the crash but than it just completely flies off the rails and becomes more and more unhinged with just random hallucinations that happen and are never explained in the slightest. There is no rhyme or reason to anything after that until the find 2 minutes which kind of redeems it. It becomes completely incoherent for most of the second half and it's not even you don't know what's real or what isn't. It's the fact none of it matters in the slightest so you end up not caring. Everything else is subpar execution wise. The characters are boring and forgettable and you are never sure of their motivations including the main girl who I don't even remember her name so that should tell you how much of an impression was left. The scenes go from nothing special to just completely incoherent and random with no rhyme or reason. This is clearly trying to be a psychological horror movie with a mix of a music video at certain points. But A it's not scary at all because you don't care about the characters, B. It never explains anything or is grounded in any kind of reality, C. It's not scary, moody, or atmospheric in the slightest and heck D. The direction sucks. The music is a weird blend of stock 00's cinematic music, metal and horror and never works together at all. Skip This completely.
