See more Olivier R @RT28403837 4d This film is certainly the worst in the genre: Companion, Ex-Machina, Artifice Girl, The Stepford Wives, M3gan, Her, Robots, some of those movies were pretty bad, but ALL of them are head and shoulders above this cliché farce of a script. If you are going to portray a software engineer, maybe take 5 minutes actually talking to one... Literally no one would handle this situation that poorly. The main character might as well be wearing a name tag that reads "plot device". The first hour was trite and formulaic, but at least it didn't insult the viewer's intelligence... Not merely a waste of time, but also offensively blunt & inane. See more Cinema S @cinema_sensei 5d The concept had enough potential to make something genuinely creepy and thought-provoking, but I didn't feel the movie fully took advantage of it. There are some decent moments and the AI relationship creates a few uncomfortable situations, but overall it feels fairly predictable. I enjoyed parts of it, but by the end, it felt more like an average sci-fi thriller than something memorable. See more Dusty R @Otter1028 6d In the genre of killer robots that has gotten a bit hot again, this one isn't the worst. I actually enjoyed the movie for what it was. I knew exactly what I was getting, and that is exactly what it delivered. No surprises really at all. Overall execution and acting was pretty good. The android was played well by that actress.
