Tara Brady Irish Times It’s refreshingly unaffected. The storytelling is routine. It warrants neither its hard-core disciples nor its worst enemies. Ignore the dishonest huffing and puffing. Rated: 3/5 Sep 7, 2023 Full Review Wendy Ide Observer (UK) A thunderously crass and manipulative movie that is hampered by erratic pacing, pantomime bad guys and an overfondness for shots of Caviezel weeping God-fearing, manly tears. Rated: 2/5 Sep 3, 2023 Full Review Kevin EG Perry Empire Magazine Jim Caviezel is a one-man scourge of child predators in this well-meaning thriller that doesn’t entirely deserve to be written off as culture-war propaganda. Rated: 3/5 Sep 1, 2023 Full Review Joseph Tomastik Loud and Clear Reviews It’s directed remarkably and delicately, it’s acted powerfully, and it tells a story that’s simple but very easy to get invested in. But when you hold it up to factual scrutiny, the waters become grayer. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 21, 2024 Full Review Romey Norton Film Focus Online Overall, Sound of Freedom is politically charged - it’s trying to shed light on a very real world-wide issue but due to lack of character development, bad acting and long run time it might fail to entertain and engage you as a viewer. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 22, 2024 Full Review John Serba Decider And yet, for a film about a man engaging in precarious subterfuge among deep-jungle guerilla traffickers, it’s weirdly boring, its tension and intensity diluted by cornball overtures... and Caviezel’s long, slow, brooding stares. Made my husband and I rethink how freely we are with our children … makes us want to keep them connected at the hip. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/04/24 Full Review Oma_Gravy Gripping. Its a really good tear-jerker. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/03/24 Full Review D. Lopez I thought the movie was very well done. The topic is a tough one but people should be aware of it. The real story is even more unbelievable but worth the listen. I heard some of it when I was watching an episode of Timcast on YouTube. I think this movie deserved to be in more theaters just like City of Dreams which just came out. Unfortunately, City of Dreams is in less theaters around me so I may not get to see it due to the restrictions of showing locations and showing times. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/29/24 Full Review Jade A wonderful About faith and the realities Child sex Trafficking. I recommend a stress ball and tissues. Because this movie will make you mad and it will make you cry, but it's worth seeing? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews
