Space Command Redemption is epic in scope, especially for an indie production. While there are a few flaws, they don’t detract from the overall experience, especially the ending, which is fantastic. Go to Full Review

Richard C Dec 16 Is it fresh? Probably not. It is, after all, a love-letter to a franchise, from a writer who loved science fiction and cast members who share that love. If you used to enjoy watching the classic adventure series on a weekend, and share the dreams envisioned in Babylon 5 and classic Star Trek there is a lot to enjoy here. Made with very little budget, and having been realised over many years, some of the effects show their age (comparable to B5). The set-up for the originally planned series has, sadly, been overtaken by the loss of several of the cast members. However, the ending still satisfies and the feeling of optimism is there. It's not like so many science fiction pilots that leave you waiting for an ending that never comes. It delivers. Hopefully the second film will come. See more Igel J Jul 6 If you want a movie that's "high art", this isn't it. If you're familiar with the actors, then there's built-in sympathy--and many long-time sci-fi series/movie fans will recognize (perhaps looking at credits and realizing how people age) what could be considered a make-work project for actors fallen out of favor. But while this is reminiscent of Star Trek: Next Gen's story line of Data's being recognized as a person, there are differences in implementation and in outcome. With a cliffhanger (which may never, B5 fashion, be fulfilled). If you're into movies that are just enjoyable to watch, without pondering the lit-crit and philosophical/"deep" or "high art" meaning, going with the flow, there are bumps (it was pointed out that the "we are invincible" scene failed ... I felt embarrassed for the character, which is rare ... But shows some sort of short-term bond and engagement on my part if I'm not diffident and aloof). Still, at the end it's (mostly) resolved and you feel edified at the end (if you like freedom and release of slaves, something that's obviously the plot from virtually the get-go). I liked it. See more Bron L 06/18/2024 If this was a 7th Grade film project, it would rate a C+. The Story was good, and I can forgive the look and feel of the set design. But the writers really slacked off and the actors had nothing to work with making this a painful experience - no hopes of ever being a Good bad movie - just a waste of resources. You have more to do with your life than watch this - perhaps a root canal with a 1st year dental student. See more Steve S 06/17/2024 I didn't make it thru the first 20 minutes because the graphics and acting was so bad. Talk about LOW BUDGET. I was shocked to see that this was a 2 hour movie. It seems if they had the money for a 2 hour movie, they should have shortened it to 1.5 hours and given a bigger budget to graphics and a better director. I love SiFi movies and will watch almost any one that is produced. However, I guess I have some standards that I didn't know I had. It really has to be bad for me to turn down my favorite movie genre. See more Linda N 04/04/2024 So many of my favorite actors in this. Space is getting really popular again so I love seeing this take on what's possible out there. See more Brett G 04/04/2024 Calamity. The shots don't work together. The story is weak. The sound is awful way to much reverb on the overall sound. Must be a student project with a lot of money, If I was on acid I would watch it for a laugh as some of the shots are 70's effects, especially the fire effects. Just so weird that the actors took this gig. See more Read all reviews
