James Wegg JWR Director/writer Damjan Kozole provides a metaphor-rich narrative that puts everyone in the shadow of a constantly belching nuclear plant whose 24/7 excrement may well be the cause of the higher-than-average cancer rates. Rated: 4/5 Jul 23, 2009 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member (***): Thumbs Up Interesting and well-acted. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Sad to see the way humans really are with each other. And what people perceive as right and wrong. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member This film is able to use nuance and innuendo rather than graphic imagery to tell an incredibly horrible but powerful story. There is a lot of tragedy with little hope offered which gives reason for a pause and to figure out what my place in this world should be. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a bleak and intriguing film about the very real problem of human trafficking in Slovenia and Croatia. Stylistically, the film is merely functional, but one thing that makes it stand out is that it thankfully lacks the over baked macho perspective on politics, as well as often juvenile humor, of many recent films from the former Yugoslavia. Its perspective on European unification, as it affects Slovenia in particular, is indeed grim but never feels sensationalized. The character of Ludvik, who was once a successful bike racer in Slovenia but now traffics in humans seems to best embody the film’s critique of today’s Europe. Overall, this is a smart film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Touches on a lot of subjects such as globalization, human trafficking, cancer, life in Slovenia, etc. It never really dwells on one particular subject and really lacks a plot. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Shows the the traffickers point of view and the desperate measures people are willing to take in order to make new lives for themselves.
