steve d The script lets its great stars down. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review ashley h Speechless is a boring film. It is about two political speechwriters who fall in love before they find out they are working for candidates on opposite sides. Michael Keaton and Geena Davis give terrible performances. The script is badly written. Ron Underwood did a terrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture. Rated: 1/4 Aug 23, 2017 Full Review Lisa Schwarzbaum Entertainment Weekly Rated: C+ Sep 7, 2011 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety Never achieves the madcap hilarity of the '40s romantic comedies it seeks to emulate, and some of the dramatic moments feel a bit forced. When we think of the possibilities this situation provides, it is sad that the moviemakers took the low road. Rated: 2/4 Jan 22, 2020 Full Review TV Guide Utterly devoid of subtlety and grace, Speechless is a desperate, thrown-together hodgepodge that tries to glide by on the supposedly surefire chemistry of the pairing of Davis and Keaton.
