Steve D They have no idea what to do with Stewart yet. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/07/24 Full Review Audience Member A James Stewart movie with romance and action plus racing footage from the time Indy was complete a track of bricks makes it worth seeing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member oh boy another auto racing pic Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Jimmy Stewart plays a hotshot young cop on a bus wired to explode, by mad bomber William Bendix, if it slows down below 50 MPH or anyone gets off the bus. Okay, not really. This film is actually a rather cheap Jimmy Steward vehicle (one of eight films he made this year when he was being built up as a star) about him as a brash race car driver working on a new high-speed carburetor. It's an innocuous film that does have kind of a Rocketeer charm to it (mainly Jimmy's relationship with his older mentor Gadget, and his golly-gosh-gee manner), but overall it's a pretty forgettable film.
