Speed Demon has some goofs (at one point, someone says “concentrate” when they mean “consecrate”), but its heart is in the right place. Go to Full Review

A brief and unremarkable funeral scene leads to one of the best epilogues of any film this year. It involves some of the most powerful people in the world while hinting at a secret group controlled by the Vatican. Go to Full Review

The film has some weaknesses but in general it builds off solid characters and an interesting setting. That’s reason enough to hop on board. Go to Full Review

Speed Demon doesn’t ask a lot from you except that you come along for the ride, and that’s an offer that’s hard to turn down. Go to Full Review

Amusing at first, it’s rarely frightening enough to generate meaningful suspense while hurtling toward a predictable destination. Go to Full Review

Part possession movie, part runaway train thriller, it delivers a surprisingly polished and wildly entertaining ride. It balances cliché and camp with enough craft to keep the whole thing from going off the rails. Go to Full Review

Sharang L @Scribe187 3d Incompetence both in front and behind the camera. Awkward cross between horror and train disaster themes is DoA. See more Sexy H @SexyHusband Jun 14 I love William H. Macy, which makes it all the more painful to report that he is the only thing keeping Speed Demon from being classified as a blaspheme. It’s clear the writers spent more time researching the effects of cocaine than they did the actual rites of Catholic exorcism. Honestly, I’m certain a moderately confused Ai chatbot could have churned out a more coherent script. See more B P @Bradster69 Jun 5 Exorcism-on-a-Train Horror Isn’t as Silly as it Sounds See more Annette A @aracha2026 Jun 4 I wouldn't exactly say that a runaway train, a demon possession, and a nun with a crisis of faith were prime examples of plausibility, but they did keep me entertained all the way down to the end. Katie Cassidy is serviceable in her role as Sister Lu, which could easily have been one she did poorly. William H. Macy lends reality to this tale of doomed romance. I like most the problem of redemption and faith in the midst of chaos. The film is not too serious, but also contains horror, action, and some dark humor. The pacing is inconsistent, and there are some scenes that are campier than scary, but the strange environment and constant on-screen tension make for a hoot. But this isn't going to turn into a horror movie classic, so if you want to distract yourself with a demon-on-a-train experience, then Speed Demon will provide enough action to make the trip worth it. See more Umutoni G @RT01569678 Jun 1 Speed Demon is a high-energy, action-heavy ride that’s more about thrills than story. It delivers excitement in bursts, but it’s best enjoyed as a quick, adrenaline-fueled watch rather than a deep or memorable drama. See more Read all reviews
